Look above the Vlad's location to see four cylinder-like wooden pipes holding the sitting-place (the square-like place that Vlad is on). Shoot the wooden pipes and they will fall out of their places. As you shoot the last pipe, the sitting-place will fall down but Vlad is still out of your view. Look up again to see four more wooden pipes that are preventing a large pillar from falling down. Shoot the pipes out and the pillar will fall down, making Vlad move aside avoiding the pillar.

(In the PS2 version, hop up the library shelves to the second story.) From there, walk down the hallway, open the door in front of you and circle around the area and blast guys on that floor and on the one below about five guys altogether. Nail them using Bullet Time and then climb up the stairs to the second floor. Walk up another flight of stairs, walk in the door with the green light and face off with three guys who climb down on ropes in the library. Run across the top flight, avoiding the gunmen fire, switch to the Colt or the Jackhammer and blast them twice each. Then jump onto the fallen cabinets and run across, jumping up the stairs to the top floor, avoiding the enemy gunfire upstairs. Once you hit the trip wires, the cabinets will fall over, creating a domino effect. Any gun works, but Molotovs work nicely if you have them. In the cabinet-filled store room, blast the trip mine, fend off two to three guys on the floor and two guys up top, all well armed.
